Anna Totu Hi guys, saw you in Bristol and you've made me sing along happily there, inspite all the rain and mud. Lots of love from lots warmer Spain! Favorite track: Café Hawelka.

John Ponton, III I have a weakness for large ensembles of talented musicians crafting music that is beautiful and uplifting. Human Pyramids is a glorious foray into a forest of brass, cellos, and violins mixed with math-rock sensibilities and dynamic percussion that has a startling discovery around every turn. Fans of Mermonte will want to give Planet Shhh! a listen. Favorite track: Port Charlotte.
Dr. Beaf

Dr. Beaf Thick in character, with songs holding little episodes of different structures and diversity. The addition of glockenspiel parts are lovely, with crisp drumming. It feels very organic and original and oozes competency in musicianship. A triumph of an album that I will enjoy for years

Sunset Architect This album has an overall very diverse and eclectic feel to it, but manages to keep it all adhered together. Paul Russell is amazing with Axes and shows us another side here; softer, but no less interesting. Must have! Favorite track: The Bubble.
Tom Perou

about

Human Pyramids UK

Human Pyramids is the explosive and uplifting new project from Paul Russell. Raised in an old mining village in the central belt of Scotland and now based in Glasgow, it features a number of handpicked musicians spread throughout the UK. A triumph of neo-classical arrangement, a world in which jubilant choir-led chamber music and post-punk meet head on to form a place where anything is possible. ... more
